One False Note

This book written by Gordon Korman is the second book in the first 39 Clues series, The Clue Hunt. The main characters, Amy and Dan Cahill, are led by the hunt for the clues to Vienna, Austria, and then to Venice in search of the second clue. They are first attacked on the train ride to Austria by their meat-head cousins, next they are trapped in a cave-in by the mysterious "man-in-black." They find their way out, and along the way, find a parchment with German writing on it. It looked like a list of ingredients, the first clue was an ingredient, cannot be a coincidence.
While in Italy, they discover that their cousin--who is also in the hunt-- is there too, so they decide to follow him, and they end up in some sort of secret base. They find secret diary pages in the base, and steal them. The pages lead them to a deceased Italian music host's home. In the house there is a harpsichord, which has a big secret, but that can only be discovered by reading the book.
I would rate this book five stars because it has a lot of action and it is a mystery, which are my two favorite genres of books. I would recommend this book to people that like books that involve lots of action and has a great mystery.

Penny From Heaven

Penny from heaven is about this girl who's best friend is her cousin Frankie.  Frankie and penny go on lots of wild adventures together. I liked this book because I thought because it takes place in the mid 1900s that I wouldn't like it, but I ended up relating to it a lot. I would recommend this book to someone who likes a fast but good book.

The Great Greene Heist

Jackson promised to stop crafting cons, until Keith Sinclair started running for student council president. He knew that the bully had found some way to bribe the principle in to making sure that no matter what, he would win the race. Jackson was not ready to leave the students in the misery of Keith's leadership, so he worked up a plan.

Meet the team: Hashemi Larijani, tech geek, Victor Cho source of cash, Megan Feldman, science genius. Charlie de la Cruz, reporter and Jackson's main partner in crime. The team will take down Keith and rise up Gaby de la Cruz, the rightful president of the student council, with a fair election.

I enjoyed the action in this book and the consequences that the characters would face if they didn't do the job right.

Chains

Chains, by Laurie Halse Anderson, is a historical fiction book about the revolutionary war. Isabel, the main character, is an African Salve. When Isabel's mistress dies, her and her sister are sold to a cruel vicious woman. Isabel's new mistress is Loyal to the King and when Isabel meets another slave she is asked to spy on her mistress. However, being a spy could threaten the lives of Isabel and her sister and she doesn't know if she wants to take that chance. It is only after a series of unfortunate events that Isabel decides to go with her heart, unafraid of what the consequences will be. I like this story because it shows the revolutionary war from the eyes of a salve. I would rate this a 4.5 stars out of 5 stars.

Auggie And Me

Auggie and me is about the story of wonder told in perspectives of different characters from the book. This book is by  Raquel J. Palacio. It is a great book. And I highly recommend it.

The Heroes of Olympus

The Heroes of Olympus series is my favorite series Rick Riordan wrote. This series is full of action and is suspenseful. If you love to read action books I recommend this series. You will love them. This book is about a prophecy, that predicted seven demigods would unite to protect the earth from Gaea, the goddess of the Earth, before she wakes up. Gaea, on the other hand, is planning to destroy it.

Hidden like Anne Frank

Hidden like Anne Frank is a book that take place in Amsterdam during World War 2. It is the story of 14 Jewish children that went into hiding because of Hitler. All of these children had to leave their friends, family and homes. I found this book very interesting and I liked how it showed many children story's. It really gives you a deeper look into World War 2 and takes you into their world. You get to experience their slim get-aways. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
