Fablehaven: The Secrets of the Dragon Santuary

Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary is the fourth book in the Fablehaven series. The action in this book starts when Kendra goes to her after school job, a helper with the young kids in daycare. A man named Rex that ran the day-care was extremely excited to show Kendra a game that they were going to play that day. The game involved reaching into a box to feel what was inside and guess what it was. On the final box she reached in and pricked her finger on a cactus. Rex said that he thought that he had pulled them all out, but he must have missed one. This turned out to not be true. Twenty minutes later a clone of Kendra was made and was taught to act as Kendra so that he could kidnap Kendra, and bring her to the Sphinx, the Captain of the Society of the Evening Star who would want to use Kendra's powers against her side. This book takes them to an adventure that involves fighting hydras, dragons, and trying to fight to beat the bad side from collecting all five artifacts which together could open Zzyzx the demon prison which would undoubtedly be the end of the world. This book was so good that I couldn't put it down because it is action packed and suspenseful(the last sentence of the book really wants you to get the fifth and final book of the series so bad). I think that you will like it too. I would give this book 4.5 stars out of 5.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, #1 in the series, by Rick Riordan

This is the story about a kid named Percy Jackson, a little troublemaker in New York, who finds out he isn't normal. Monsters start to get attracted to him, and his best friend Grover pulls him to Camp Half- Blood. He is actually the son of a god! He later, along with Grover and his new friend Annabeth, go on this quest to save the world from World War III because someone has stolen the most powerful weapon ever, Zeus's lightning bolt. Along with the incredible story line, action, and creative chapter titles, I'd give this book a 6 star rating out of 5 stars. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!

The Testing

Book Review: The Testing

The testing is a wonderfully written book! It is about a girl named Cia who makes it to the testing and possibly then to University. At the testing she learns what her colony and Tosu city is actually like. How they treat people and who their leaders actually do and are. This book takes place her in the United States and specifically Michigan, but it happens after a fantasy disaster that happened there.

The Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix

The Missing series is an 8 book series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. The titles in this series, in order, are as follows: Found, Sent, Sabotaged, Torn, Caught1, Risked2, Revealed, and Redeemed. The main characters, an adopted 13-year-old boy named Jonah, and his 11-year-old, not adopted sister, have to travel back in time so that their time, the 21st century, does not collapse. I would go more into detail, but doing so would spoil some of the books, and we agreed that there is to be NO SPOILERS in the blogs.

Smile & Sisters by Raina Telgemeier

Smile and Sisters are 2 true stories that happen one after another. In Smile, Raina finds herself in different situations like having bad friends, messing up her teeth, and crushes. In Sisters, the story focuses less on Raina's schooling and more on her family. Sister problems, pet problems, and parent problems, all real things that happen to people. I'd recommend both of these books if you're into real girl situations. I give it 5 stars.

Absolutely Almost

Absolutely Almost is a good book for people who think they aren't good at anything. This book shows you that you all have talents, I would recommend this book

Mare's War By: Tanita S. Davis

Mare's War is both historical fiction and realistic fiction. The characters include Octavia and Tali, who have to go on a road trip with their bizarre grandmother, Mare. During the long hours in the car, Mare tells stories of her life. The book changes between the now (when they are in the car on the road trip) and then (in Mare's perspective in her stories). And let me tell you, some of Mare's stories are quite interesting! I would totally recommend this book to anyone who like realistic or historical fiction. Personally, I do not like historical fiction, but this book books a unique spin on it. I would give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 is because it is hard to get into at the beginning.

The Year of Miss Agnes

The Year of Miss Agnes By: Kitkpartrick Hill
Federika and her classmates get a new teacher, Miss Agnes. One day Frederika's sister, Bokka stops by to drop off her lunch and Miss Agnes is surprised that Bokka doesn't go to school. Bokka is blind and Frederika tries to explain that to Miss Agnes, but she insists to teach her. Read the book to find out if Miss Agnes is able to teach Bokka how to read and write even though she is blind. Will Miss Anges be able to handle it all?
I didn't really enjoy this book as much as I wanted too. I think the author could have used more detail and better descriptions. I gave this book a 2 star out of 5. I do not recommend this to anybody.

Someday Dancer

Someday Dancer By: Sarah Rubin
Casey Quin takes on her dreams by traveling to NYC after she looses her grandma. Casey makes friends along the way and makes a ballet team. She becomes an understudy for the Christmas ballet. Read the book to find out if Casey gets to perform in the Christmas ballet.
I liked this book because it was more on the girly side and Casey followed her dreams and never gave up. I give this book a 4 star. I recommend this book to girls and anybody who enjoys historical fiction.
